A Pair of Suspects Charged for Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges after the death in prison of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.

Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
