Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Around 2,000 US Jobs – Update
Skydance Paramount will start mass layoffs the week of 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 US jobs as part of a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts are a result of the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August worth $8.4bn.
Further global layoffs are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance planning to disclose complete information during its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates stated the company aimed to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 positions before the start of November.
Until December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 temporary project employees.
The company did not immediately respond regarding the report.
